Frequently Asked Questions About Hypnotherapy

If you have any other questions that are not answered here, please do not hesitate to contact me. I’d love to help you decide if hypnotherapy is right for you.

Hypnotherapy is guided hypnosis (a trance-like state of focus) led by the help of a certified hypnotherapist. In this state, one can focus entirely inward to utilize the resources that they already possess to make changes to specific areas of their life. While in hypnosis, the subconscious mind is highly open to suggestion, allowing for changes to be made.

Hypnotherapy is performed in a calm and relaxed environment, creating a positive and therapeutic experience.  The length of hypnosis treatment varies, depending on the complexity of the problem.

Hypnosis feels very calm and relaxing, almost like daydreaming. You’ll feel relaxed both physically and mentally and will be able to focus deeply on what you are thinking about.

Absolutely not. You always have control over your own mind. Hypnosis allows you to be persuaded to make changes in your life, but you always have control over whether to do them or not.

There is no way to “get stuck in hypnosis”. Think of it as like a daydream – we daydream every day, but we always come out of it. Hypnosis is the same way.

The beauty of hypnotherapy is that you just need to be able to hear my voice. Because of that, I am able to treat clients all over the world by conducting their sessions over the phone or Skype. Also, sometimes clients feel more comfortable conducting the sessions in their own home, or perhaps they don’t feel comfortable discussing tough issues face-to-face. That’s where virtual sessions come in.
